The Centre carries out the following interventions:
  • Social workers from the Centre identify children ages 7 to 8 for admission to the Centre's residential facility.
  • The children stay at the Centre's nine acre facility during the week.
  • The children stay with a parent or guardian in their home communities on the weekends.
  • The children receive non-formal education from teachers at the Centre to prepare them for enrollment in a formal school.
  • The children are then enrolled in a local primary school.
  • The Centre covers the costs of keeping the children in school, including school uniforms, textbooks and lunches.
